Andy Hallet Passed Away at 33
March 31, 2009 by Trey
You’ll probably know him better as Lorne from the show Angel. He died Sunday night from congestive heart failure. Some say it started with a tooth infection.
Full info here.
His character brought some much needed color to the show. It’s sad to such a great actor/entertainer pass away so young.

Episode 5 of the Co-op Cast is now live. Liz (Mrs. Greg) is sitting in for Trey this week as we discuss games we’ve played (WoW and Mirror’s Edge, among others), take a look at some recent news stories & get in on the female perspective on gaming.
We had some technical issues with one of our headsets which caused some audio problems, so please bear with us.

Resistance 2 update 1.50 is out!
by Trey
We’ve talked a lot about Resistance 2, and it’s good to see that Insomniac is keeping up with the support for it. Not only have they released a patch, but they’ve also released some new DLC for it.
Here’s our favorite changes from the patch:
- Second PSN Login Support: Your fellow couch potato can now save their character’s multiplayer progress, thanks to the added option to log in with two unique PSN accounts.
- Players now automatically go to staging after every competitive or cooperative game (regame)
You can read the full list of changes here.

Tecmo has officially announced Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3, coming this fall. Sigma 2 is a expanded port of Ninja Gaiden 2, previously released on the 360. This version will add more weapons, bosses, playable characters, and even an online co-op mode.

Stargate > Star Trek & Star Wars
March 19, 2009 by Greg
Yeah, I said it. The new Stargate spin-off series, Stargate Universe, is set to debut this October. Some info is up on the official Stargate site about who the cast will be. This series is set aboard a ship, where the previous 2 series have been set around a home base (Earth and Atlantis). The team behind the new series worked on the previous two, so there’s no reason to expect any less quality from this one.
My Bad…

It seems that you have to actually *subscribe* to Quore to get High Velocity Bowling – if you just buy the one issue (like I did), you don’t get it. Oops.
Stealth Price Drop on High Velocity Bowling
March 12, 2009 by Greg
Want High Velocity Bowling? Don’t want to spend $10? This is your month. The March issue of Quore, which released today on Sony’s PSN, includes a free download of the game. That means you can get the game for the low, low price of $3 (or free if you happen to be a Quore subscriber).
Of course, if you decide to purchase all of the dlc for the game, your price will go up quite a bit.
Sackboy Hits The Links
by Greg
In a continuing effort to rob me of all of my cash, Sony has announced that Sackboy will be added as a downloadable character for Hot Shots Golf: Out Of Bounds today. No price was announced, but it was confirmed to be a paid download. Sackboy will also include some costumes in case you don’t want to play golf in the buff. *insert joke about covering your sack here*
More information can be found, along with screens, over on Sony’s blog.
Co-op Cast Episode 4
March 11, 2009 by Trey
After an extended break between episode 3 and 4, to change recording nights, Greg and I return to our headsets with a discussion about World of Warcraft, Phantasy Star Portable, and Unreal Tournament 3. We also share our hopes and dreams of the genres and franchises we want to die or have revived.
