You can now buy XBLA games from Amazon. So that means you can use real money to buy the games & bypass the points crap altogether.

Amazon Taking Trade-ins

Amazon.com is now accepting your used games. They give some pretty decent credit for them, and pay for shipping. However it looks like they don’t just accept any game. So those trading in for 50 cents probably won’t be on their list.
